Thinkerly Privacy Policy

Last updated: 6 November 2026

Thinkerly: Brain Games & Coach ("Thinkerly", formerly "BrainBox", "we", "our", or "the app") is an offline collection of brain games with a personal coach. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Summary

Your puzzles, progress and statistics stay on your device. Thinkerly has no user accounts and no servers of its own. The free version shows ads, the Android app sends anonymous usage statistics to Google Analytics, and purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play.

What is stored on your device

Settings, progress (XP, level, streaks, achievements, hints), game statistics and unfinished games are stored locally on your device only. They are not uploaded to us.

Advertising

The free version shows ads from Google AdMob: full-screen ads between puzzles, and optional video ads you can choose to watch for an extra hint. Google may collect device identifiers, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad-interaction and diagnostic data to serve and measure ads. Where required (for example in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) you are asked for consent first, and you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices. On iOS, personalised ads are only used if you allow tracking. See Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Usage statistics (Android)

The Android app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how Thinkerly is used, for example which games are played, how often games are finished, and which screens are opened. It records these events with an app-instance identifier, device and app information (model, OS and app version, language) and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It does not record your name, puzzle contents or anything you type, and we don't use it to identify you. See Firebase privacy information and Google's privacy policy.

Purchases

Thinkerly Pro purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and restore them on a new install; it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts, but not your name, email address or payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Sharing

When you tap Share, Thinkerly creates a short text message and hands it to your device's share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose where to share it.

Deleting your data

Use Settings → Reset all progress, or uninstall the app, to delete everything Thinkerly has stored on your device. Pro purchases belong to your Apple or Google account and are not affected.

Children

Thinkerly is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page and included in the app.
